SALWAR SUIT / PUNJABI SUIT
This is the basic type and most famous too. Generally A long comfortable Kameez or kurta from the shoulder to knee length. Mostly it is full sleeves, but it can be Half-Sleeves or Sleeveless. In this style the salwar is mostly loose from the top to the bottom.
ANARKALI STYLE SALWAR KAMEEZ DRESS
This is the most sought after and invouge salwar kameez desing. Dating back to ancient Indian moghul era, these dresses have made a great comeback. Anarkali dresses were made famous by movies like Moghul-E-Azaam, Pakeeza, Anarkali etc. Recently Bollywood designers have brought them again to the International fashion scenario.
They are lengthier than the usual salwar kameez. While the normal salwar kameez is loose from the top to the end, The Anarkali dress gives a more glamorous and stylish look because they are tighter round the stomach and loose around the bottom. The distinctive feature of Anarkali dress is the Super Broad Round bottom in the Kameez which is called Ghera. The more the ghera, the more royal look.

KALIDAR ANARKALI SALWAR KAMEEZ DRESS
This is another variation of the Anarkali dress. In the Dress there are Patches given around the ghera, like kalis (bud like patches) which gives them a glamorous look. The Kalis can start from the Top of the Dress or from the waistline. There can be any number of kalis as per the wearer’s preference.
FLOOR LENGTH GOWN STYLE ANARKALI DRESSES
This too is another variation of the anarkali dress. It’s length is from the Shoulder to the floor. It looks quite elegant and gorgeous.
KURTAS / KURTIS / TUNICS
The trends of wearing Short or Long Kurtas is invogue from quite some time. Around The top this just above the knee length is called Kurta and the shorter length version is called Kurtis. Tunic tops is another name for this garment.
